Little Star

My daughter started back in 05. Anxious to get her started, I had to enroll (her) one year earlier. My shifty mouth hadn't served me as usual. Solely relying on my eyes, the opportunity rolled up on me, manifesting itself in a fiesta-pink building on the corner of 20th and Quintara.
I checked it out and was thoroughly impressed. The classrooms (technically only 2) were at fifty in capacity, but were broken up into smaller groups of ten, I believe. Each of the groups would rotate into "centers" that were following the theme of the week. 3/4 teachers lead the centers and made it manageable for such a large classroom size.
I'm not here to rate it, I already did that on Yelp, but I will say that I am very glad that I put her in there. She has learned and grown so much (me included). Sometimes you have to go through the motions before you can actually stop, breathe, and reflect on all the events that have gotten you to a milestone in your life, my life, her life, our life. It's a beautiful thing.

re: DING

p.s. About that Red Paper Clip . . . it never happened for me. Kudos for those who have had success. My mind couldn't focus long enough to see results. I've been focusing on spiritual growth and transformation, thus RESULTS!

Rewind

So, I was talking to my friend Yan-Yan and she told me that she is the blog queen. (Damn, I bet she is.) So I check out her blog and totally remembered that I blogged once upon a moon. Like 2 years ago! Anyway I read what I had wrote about and this is commentary to what happened in Vegas.
Yes, that crazy chick wanted me to flip the bill. Shouldn't that have been a red flag?? Duh! Two years later and about a hundred 5 minute messages later, I decided to fade away.

Ding!

After a day and a half of 104 degree weather, my friend proceeds to tell me about this guy who traded a red paper clip for a house. Immediately she got my attention. I was like, "ok now how did this happen?" I thought this was so exciting I had to try it out, so here I am. Well not only that, but blogging helps me to express and vent like hell. Sometimes I go crazy after talking to myself for too long. You know what I mean?
In the meanwhile I am keeping an eye open for trades. Nothing yet, just a few lookers.

I hate feeling that way

Yes, I decided to go to Vegas even though I knew she wanted me to flip the bill. Mom was out of town, and I was in the middle of closing escrow. Though odds seemed to be against me with Mercury in Rx, I knew why I went on that trip.
